Once the meat is cooked, take it out of the slow cooker and keep it warm. Pour the remaining sauce through sieve into the saucepan you've made the butter/flour mix in, and return the sauce and chops to the slow cooker to thicken it the consistency your family prefers, season to taste and serve! (Discard the herbs and onions collected in the sieve.)
My family enjoys this lamb slow cooker recipe with mashed or roast potatoes, orange glazed carrots and seasonal green vegetables.
Honey Soy Lamb Chops
Serves 6
Cook on low for 6 hours
¼ Cup soy sauce
¼ Cup honey
3 cloves of crushed garlic
1 tsp sesame oil
2 large red onions, cut into thick wedges
6 lamb forequarter chops
6 sprigs fresh rosemary
2 Tbsps melted butter
1 Tbsp cornstarch
Combine soy sauce, honey, garlic and sesame oil in a small jug.
Add the onions, then the lamb and rosemary to the slow cooker.
Pour over the sauce
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
About 30 minutes before serving, melt the butter and add the cornstarch.
Remove the slow cooker lid and discard rosemary and stir in the butter cornstarch mixture.
Cover, turn slow cooker to high to thicken the sauce, which will take about 20-25 minutes.
Season to taste and serve.
